The car park and Lobster Pot were heaving yesterday. Doesn’t look like people are avoiding it. I agree car park prices are ridiculous.
Such a shame they have made the parking so expensive. We are regular visitors, multiple times per year, but not residents. Sadly the increased prices will surely stop people visiting as often. We didn't bother coming this week, where we would normally have.

Must be about 25 yrs since I last went to the Lobster pot lol
Happy memories from MANY years ago. I had relatives on Portland and had annual holidays there at the chalet site above Church Ope Cove. Went to the Lobster Pot for amazing Goosberry Pie every visit.🤩
High quality
A wide selection of dishes
We are famous for our Cream Teas as our unique scone recipe has remained the same since the business began. Local crab sandwiches and delicious freshly prepared chips are other favourites on our menu.
Probably one of the nicest scones we have ever eaten. Unusually a square shape, still slightly warm, very soft almost like a light and fluffy sponge cake. Lashings of cream and a good jam too. Proper strong leaf tea. and plenty of parking nearby.
Best salmon I've ever eaten! The people here were so lovely, quick and attentive service. I couldn't believe how fast the food came out. The attached shop is a great idea.
Fantastic place to go and eat. The view's are superb. Staff really welcoming.

Lovely place and location. Food was wonderful. I had a fresh crab salad which was wonderful. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options.
one of a kind
Since 1952
The Lobster Pot Restaurant has been in the same family for over 70 years. We are situated next to the famous Portland Bill lighthouse in an outstanding location, on Dorset's World Heritage Jurassic Coast. This is just a short drive from Weymouth and only ten minutes away from the Olympic sailing venue at Portland Harbour.
